Final Cut Pro error: 'The operation could not be completed' on Mac

Hello,

I've been having this problem for a year now that I can't solve (apparently I'm the only one in the world who suffers from it on FCP):

every time I use an effect I get this message and I don't know how to fix it.

It appears after a while that I use the program, after which it freezes and I am forced to close the program.

I have tried everything from deleting preferences, to reinstalling the program and updating the plug-ins I have (I even downloaded EterCheck and I don't notice any problems related to the program).

Could someone please help me out?

It happens with any effects, also I have FCP 11.0, Sequoia 15.0.1 and 1TB free.

I store my libraries on my external SSD.

It's not only happening to you. It happens to me as well. When you see this, press OK and then quit and reopen FCP. The effect will now work.

One question though... do you drag and drop your effect on the clip or use a keyboard shortcut or other method to apply the effect? I drag and drop because for me it is so much faster and intuitive. I'm wondering if it happens to the keyboard warriors.
