Focus Cell feature in Excel

On Windows it's in the tab for [View] in the group for [Headings] and if you select a cell it highlights the column and row. Great for looking at large lists. I thought I had seen it on Mac version of Office 365, but can't find it today. The attached image shows the Windows version in Parallels.

I found an article on the Microsoft forums that’s it’s now available in EXCEL for a majority of Mac and Windows Users. I have gone down the rabbit hole and do not see it in the version I have. The article was dated 12/05/2025

Same here. I was using it for about a month on my Macbook Air M2, and it just mysteriously disappeared (no updates or something similar). The feature is still on my Mac Mini M1 mysteriously. Also, the feature is not available on my Windows computer even though it is supposed to be. At this point, I choose to believe that Microsoft might have tossed a coin and decided which random computer gets this useful feature ~

Same here as well... it appeared earlier this month and disappeared, I'm using excel for Mac version 16.93.1 (office365 subscription). That happened after a recent update, very likely on jan 24. Hope it will be re-introduced soon.

Here's what worked for me after spending one hour a day for days on this...

1. Reinstall (update) Excel : Download Excel Updater (16.93.25011917)
2. Open /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0/Microsoft/AutoUpdate.app and in advanced, choose Beta Channel and tick Auto-update at startup
3. Reboot
4. Cross fingers and hope for the best (I read that updates may not be available to everyone - I have 365 Business Premium at work)
