Restarting my iPod, but I disabled it in Windows.

So tonight I reformatted an iPod 2012 Nano (specifically a model MD481LL) for Windows, and after adding a few albums I disconnected it from my laptop. After a while I wanted to add more songs so I reconnected it, but nothing was happening with iTunes when I did. BUT I realized that I hit "Transfer Manually" in iTunes when I first reset the iPod, and that must have been the reason why the only activity after connection to my laptop with USB was a File Explorer window of the disk. And so whilst trying to find a way to use iTunes, and accepting that I would likely just have to reset the iPod again, I went into the disk properties in File Explorer and hit an option that said "Disable" thinking nothing of it. And now nothing happens when I connect the iPod to my laptop and now I CERTAINLY can't change the transfer mode any better now than I could before. I only have one laptop and spent hours finding songs and tweaking them to put on my iPod and now the thing is practically a useless hunk of metal now. Any suggestions on how I could reset it again or change the transfer mode? All help is accepted.
