Transferring iTunes Library.itl from old iMac to modern Mac
To save my iTunes music library in an old iMac (2009), can I copy iTunes Library.itl to a USB key and transfer it to a more modern Mac?

You should back up the entire contents of your music folder. Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community
