iPod Controls lost via Lightning (female) to USB-C adapters

So I have a Sony SACD Car Stereo (MEX-DV2000) that has the Unilink hub system with the Sony XA-110IP iPod Interface Adapter. This unit uses a 30-pin adapter, which you must convert to Lightning with a MFI Certified adapter from Apple themselves for a more modern iPhone to be able to have its iPod seek, and next-track & pause functions to work with the Sony head unit’s buttons. Obviously audio is sent with non-adjustable volume to the Sony head unit’s 24-bit DAC for playback. However, you must use an inline 30-pin Scosche passPORT IFWA USB charging adapter to get the Sony to charge the iPhone. ALL THAT CAME TO A HALT WITH iPHONES 15 & 16 with USB-C. The Apple certified MFI USB-C to Lightning Adapter allows you to connect your newest iPhone (16 Pro MAX in this case), however I also get the dreaded “Accessory Not Supported” error too.

When will this get fixed with an iOS update?

iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18
