Restoring my iTunes custom Equaliser settings

iTunes 10.7

Mavericks 10.9.5

iMac 2011 1TB SSD 16GB RAM

The other day I noticed all my iTunes custom equaliser presets had gone, and only the default list showed in the Equaliser window; each track that had used one now showed "none" in its Get Info window.

I noticed via Time Machine that com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist had changed on 7 November from 33k earlier down to 14k. So it was a simple matter to restore the .plist file from before 7 November.

HOWEVER... despite the restored plist, iTunes STILL shows only the default list (having relaunched it to use the restored file). What's going wrong?

Resolved, the most obvious way...

I once again restored the larger 33k eq.plist file from Time Machine, but this time I didn't relaunch iTunes until I'd first rebooted. Then I did, and there they were (smile).

As I've said to so many others, "Have you tried switching it off and back on again?"
