Mail Notifications Broken on iOS 18.2?

Apple screwed it up, so Apple WILL sort it

Same here now fed up with this

No notifications for mail, text, or phone. All settings are correct, this occurred with latest update. Please correct ASAP.

I have the same issue since updating to 18.2.1 No sound notifications as well as SENT mail not listed in the SENT folder.

I also have apps showing badge notifications when there are really none.

I have a work Mini 13 and a personal SE3. Both have the same exact symptoms. I only want notifications for VIP emails. Worked up until 18.2 and hasn't been working for months. Phone will buzz or ding, depending if I have it silent or not, but will not display anything on the lock screen for Mail. Banners will work when the phone is unlocked only.

Enabling the Primary Inbox gives me alerts for ALL emails that come through. I only want the VIP alerts and the config I shared has worked fine for many many years.

I have always had a specific alert tone and I still am not receiving the tone—-sounds. I need sounds.

Insane that Apple chooses not to acknowledge this problem.

My device and mail features does not present “primary inbox”. This feature does not apply to all Apple devices.

Yes! Doing this simple setting allowed my exchange notifications to show up on Lock Screen/Notification center again for my exchange account! It seems, without having this function on, it overrides the normal notification settings for you primary inbox. Even if you don’t use the category style inbox! 🙄

i deleted my mail app. i reinstalled it and ever since it is working like it used to before i upgraded to 18.2.

it takes a long time to download all the emails again to the app but that is because i have a lot of emails. i would suggest doing this as it completely fixed all the problems for me

Just make sure you have Alerts and Sounds on for Primary Inbox at the bottom of the Customise Notifications page for Mail Notifications and make sure Lock Screen is ticked on Alerts on the Main Mail Notifications page and you’ll get them. I have to have Primary Inbox ticked despite not using Categories in Mail for this to work. That could be seen as a bug I guess.

Not ideal but as tech don't help and haven't admitted there is an issue I have given up and found an alternative. I have downloaded the outlook app so when audible notification from outlook comes in I hit the (apple)mail icon and mail is automatically downloaded.
