Cannot open MainStage project

I went to open a MainStage project that I hadn't touched in a couple weeks and I get this message: "The document “Christmas Rhapsody Mainstage” could not be opened. The file isn’t in the correct format. Please restore it from a backup." I don't know that I have a backup. Is there a way to fix the file? I am on Sequoia 15.1.1 which my MacBook Pro updated to after I last closed the project.

Do you not run Time Machine as a backup?

If you use Finder and select the concert file in question, you can control (or right) click on it and "Show Package Contents". You should then see 4 files: patch, layout, plist and plistZ. The patch file can also be control clicked and "Show Package Contents"; this will show each patch. If any of these files can be copied to say the desktop and a new concert created, you MAY be able to recreate some of your concert that way but it is a bit hit and miss and you need to try to be methodical in attempting this.
