New macbook air user here. I'm looking for a very simple snip app that lets me select a portion of the screen, copy it and paste it into a file or email.
The macbook air commands are a three step process.
Some of the apps I've looked at seem to save the snipped section somewhere.
Suggestions appreciated.

Taking a snip of a portion of the screen is not a three-step process; at least it doesn't need to be. Press Shift-Command-4 and drag to select the portion of the screen you wish to capture.
