Can't change appleid password due to SDP being set on a lost phone

I have switched off SDP on my old iPhone 11 and my current phone iPhone 15 plus. I bought the 15 plus as I lost my iPhone 15 in the woods some months back and was unable to find it as there was no network signal. I am trying to change my appleid password but get the message: "Because Stolen Device Protection is turned on, some of your account information cannot be changed on the web. To change your password, use your other Apple devices"

The iPhone 15 will be removed from Find My on 22nd Dec, I presume this would remove the blocking of password change. I have a MacBook Air Intel and iMac M1 and am assuming there is nothing on these devices that would block.

Is there any way to get around this in the meantime?

iPhone 15, 17
