No photo import access in my Photo app
I am trying to add pictures to my Photos app on my iPad Pro but there is no import access showing. How can import pictures or add the import access?

Add from where?
I had some pictures on a portable drive, for instance. I plugged the drive in to my iPad, and I found it with the Files app. I tapped to open the drive, selected a couple of pictures, and chose Share, then Save image. I saw that they were imported into Photos.
