How do I find out when my Apple Gift Card was redeemed?

Hopefully you did not make the purchase from a retailer that displays Gift Cards on a rack open to the public to tamper with them. If that was the case, you were scammed at the store and they failed to protect your purchase. The retailers know about this very common scam and some fail to protect their customers from bad actors lurking in their stores. Ironically some of these same retailers will lock up product that can be stolen from them, but do nothing about the money that is stolen from you. Only purchase Gift Cards from retailers where they protect your purchase by selling them securely behind a counter.
