27" Apple Cinema Display with M4 Pro Mac mini?

I have the M4 Pro Mac mini working just fine with the Apple Studio Display. However I'd also like to connect my old Apple Cinema Display to use as a second monitor, using an HDMI (from the Mac mini) to Mini Displayport (on the Cinema Display) cable. Everything I'm reading online is that this isn't supported and doesn't work. Has anyone has success with this combination?
