Search photos not working properly

On my new iPhone 16 pro max I cannot search for photos as I used to with my old iPhone 14 . If I search for say “black car” I know I have photos of black cars, it can’t find any and the same with most of the things I used to search for. I used to be able to find “passports” or type any word like “bank” or anything and it would find photos with that word in them but now it simply says “no results”. Also I notice there’s a message at the bottom of my search that says “some results may not appear”. How can I improve my new phones ability to find my photos like before? It was something I used all the time and now I can’t find much.

How long has it been since you upgraded? It takes quite a while (like days) for Photos to scan through all the pictures and identify categories.

I searched for Red Car and got my red car, but I also got a picture of the Red Light District in Amsterdam, and some others that made no sense. I did Red Flower and got a bunch of red flowers, but there were some blue ones, as well. Here is a partial result from my Mac, which works better, I think:

It includes people wearing red flowers-- and some distinctly blue flowers. Not bad, though. "Red car" was pretty much like the iPhone.

Maybe now that it's out and used by millions of people, it will get better…
