annoying sound on my mac

There is a continual sound on my mac that sounds like it could be an alert but I could not locate the source through conventional means and the sound isn't a normal mac sound. I tried something else. I turned on the force quit list and started to quit each program to make the sound stop. It stopped when I quit the Discord program, one I rarely use, and the sound stopped. I opened Discord again and the sound started up again. So I closed it and it stopped again.

Now you may not have Discord, so I would suggest the same routine of force-quitting programs to find the culprit if you've tried everything else.
