Photo’s transferred from phone to PC are fine, but when synced back to iPhone the photo’s aren’t displaying properly?

I’m hoping someone has an answer to my photo conundrum.

When I transfer my photos via USB to my Windows PC, they’re fine. They open up and display just fine, with no signs of corruption.

However, when I then sync my phone to transfer back the photos in the photo albums I’ve created, not all photos seem to display properly:

Here’s an example.

The file type is the same as the others that have transferred from and to my iPhone, JPEG, ok and so I’m at a bit of a loss as to what’s causing the issue?

To clarify, I can view these photos just fine on my PC and could also view them just fine on my iPhone prior to transferring them. It’s only upon transferring them back to my iPhone that there seems to be an issue with some of the photos.

I currently have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Windows PC with Windows 11 Home. Both are fully up to date and I also experienced the same issue on my previous iPhone 14 Pro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
