iMessage crashing on my MacBook Air after macOS Sequoia update

Ever since I updated my 2020 MacBook Air to Sequoia 15.1, iMessage has crashed every time I try & open it. I still get notifications of my messages, but I can't respond unless I mirror my iPhone or use another device. Does anyone know a way to fix this outside of waiting for a new update with a patch?
