Recovering Numbers Document

I worked on a document offline that was previously shared in iCloud. I went to move the offline version to iCloud and it told me I needed to update macOS and numbers. I clicked to update and it opened the document in browser but a version that is 3 weeks old. I can’t figure out how to restore all of the work done on the offline version
