Mail app Unsend Button missing

The sidebar of my Mail app no longer shows an unsend button when sending an email is in process. I am on the latest version OS with my ISP's IMAP mail facility. I have tried restarting both the App and the computer, turning the unsend function off and on again in Settings, changing the delay setting all to no effect. Any suggestions would be welcome.
