Fixing Mailbox that exceeded storage limits

I mirror through IMAP my work email to my Macbooks. I recently stopped receiving email in one of the folders, meaning email would come to be filtered, but it doesn't end up in the correct mailbox. It appears to disappear, search can't find it.

My concern was perhaps I had exceeded the mailbox limit? I had 75K messages in this mailbox dating back to 2017. So, on my work windows machine, I archived that mailbox down to 2020, considerably shrinking its size.

However, the mailbox is still stuck. The last email I received was for November 12. I am missing about 200 emails.

Would it work to delete this email account from Mail and then add it again? Or, is there a way to reset this mail box so it will take the email from the imap email server?
