iPad 9th gen and iPhone 14 will not recognize my Apple sd card reader. I brought all devices to an Apple Store and was told by the techs they don’t know why they don’t work. Went to the geeks at Best Buy and they finally figured out that the devices don’t recognize the fat32 format on the sd card. Why did Apple drop fat32? It is the most common format. So now I have two readers and 4 sd cards that are all useless. Thank you Apple

On Mac, it still supports fat32 so it must be something within iPadOS

That makes no sense. I have iPads and iPhones and Fat 32 works just fine. I transfer photos almost everyday.
Where are you formatting the cards, in camera on a device such as Mac or PC.
