“Loading Music Library” runs forever and the app never completely loads my music

I repeatedly attempted to open Music and a progress window opens which states “Loading Music Library…”. This never stops and my music never opens. I checked and my music library is still on my iMac. I’m a subscriber to Apple Music Match and when I cancel-led the subscription last year, my music library went away! I lost years of music uploads from CDs and Apple Support couldn’t help get it back. At that time, Support helped me move the music from an old backup into the current library and until yesterday, Music loaded my library without an issue. What can be done to fix the problem with the Music app?

Thanks for your quick response! Which account are you recommending I sign out of? iTunes isn’t on my Mac. When I go to iCloud in settings, there’s a sub menu for “apps syncing to iCloud Drive” and Music is not in the list that comes up. “Sync this Mac” is on because I do want my iPhone and Mac to be synced. Whenever I open Music, the “Losding Music Library…” progress bar starts and all options across the top for the Music app are inactive (gray). I copied my music library onto an external hard drive so if there’s a way to delete the Music app and reinstall, please tell me if that is something I can try. Thanks!
