Certain screensavers that used to span multiple screens no longer do on Sonoma

As a typical power user and Developer on a MacBook Pro (M2) I am not installing the very latest version of macOS when a new one comes out until I see stability and adoption.

I recently moved up to Sonoma with all patches.

The screensaver I use “Drift” that is a prebuilt screensaver from the prior version, will only show on the primary laptop screen, and not the two other HDMI monitors that are extended displays.

It is set to show on all spaces.

I tried to toggle it on and off as well as reboot and this remains to be a problem. Some of the other newer screensavers don’t showcase this behavior.

I saw this has been an issue in the past with other versions, but clearly it remains to be a problem with specific legacy screensavers from Apple.

Is there a solution?
