Anyone else having issues with Logic Pro x 11.1 moving tracks?

Hi

I love the concept of being able to rearrange tracks within the mixer. In particular the option to be able to rearrange the many aux channels I end up with.

Although it's a pain to have them appear as tracks (I don't really need them as tracks, I just want to rearrange them), that's not a big deal.

What is a problem is that they keep being placed into my existing Track Stacks, which I don't want to happen.

So I want to move, say, my Reverb aux track so it's below my Delay aux track. What happens is that a Reverb track is created in the timeline and it's placed inside my Drums track stack (even though that's not where I moved my Reverb aux in the mixer area.

Massively frustrating and, frankly, far slower and more painful to resolve than simply selecting the Reverb aux, and creating a track from it, which is what I have had to do in the past. At least that way the track would always appear where I wanted it.

Hi All,

i posted my problem in the FB Logic for pros page and got the solution.

Moving tracks works only in track mode of the mixer.

It‘s selected on top of the mix window were it says Single/ Tracks/ All.

Hi

My issue isn't that I can't move tracks. It's that when I move them they don't go where I want them to.

So in this example I want to move the Mix Bus to the left of the Fx track.

And, as you can see, I can lift it and move it.

But instead of sitting nicely to the left of the Fx track, it will embed itself somewhere random in the Maschine kit track stack. And this is not because I have fat fingers and mistakenly hovered over the Maschine kit track stack.

So it's odd.

My workaround is not to bother with this highly awaited and potentially excellent feature and just do what I did before, create a new track for the aux channel, which I will never use, and move that in the Timeline area.

Which is a shame as the idea that I can move tracks around in the mixer by just grabbing them and moving them is absolutely fantastic. Shame it doesn't work very well.
