iPad shortcuts to a folder in files

All I want to do is be able to have access to my work folders in my docK or Home Screen on my iPad, just like you do on a MacBook, to save having to navigate every time. Why is this incredibly useful tool SO easy on a macbook yet painfully difficult to do on an iPad? This is the one thing I use the most when finding info on my mac
