Why is one AirPod losing battery faster than the other?

Hi!

Lately, my right Airpod will lose battery faster than the left. They are about three years old.

This morning is an example. I used them for about an hour. The right Airpod made that sad noise when it is out of battery. The left Airpod was at 65%.

I put the right Airpod in the case for a few minutes, then took it back out. It was showing 85% and worked.

I've experienced this before: it is as if the Airpod thinks it is out of charge, but remember when put back in the case of a bit.

Does this sound like an issue that can be corrected?

That IS helpful.

I guess I had two questions, and your response answered the first (why did one drain so fast while the other did not).

The other question was: why did the right one give out completely, but then report 85% once put in the charge case for just a few minutes?
