Random external SSD disconnection in Sonoma - possible fix

Like many users here I have experienced the random SSD disconnects on my M1 Mac Studio. I tried all the tricks suggested but nothing worked. I wondered if adding another drive might help and to my surprise, it seems to have fixed it. I used a USB-C native 64GB thumb drive formatted in Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) and just leave it plugged in on the same hub as the SSD. Hopefully upgrading to Sequoia (once they issue 15.2) will fix the problem permanently.
