Can I edit the Suggestions In Apple Numbers?

Don't press return, that will add your typing to the list.

Click on the suggestion that you want Numbers to auto-complete

To remove a suggestion, simply delete it from the list.

Unfortunately, there's no straightforward way to directly edit or delete items from the suggestions list. The suggestions seem to be based on everything previously entered in the current column. So you could try deleting all instances of "sa" in that column, then type "sa" in any cell in that column again to see if it still appears in the suggestions.

Pressing Enter will input the current content directly instead of selecting from the suggestions list. I’d suggest using Tab or the up/down arrow keys to choose from the suggestions, then pressing Enter to confirm your choice.

If you'd rather not be bothered by irrelevant suggestions, you could simply turn off the feature in Settings, which might be a more convenient solution overall.

As you've probably discovered suggestions come from values entered above or below in the same column.

If unwanted suggestions have crept into the suggestion list then that means you have typos above or below, and you might want to hunt those down and correct them!
