How to track lost AirPod case?

This morning I rode the bus, and i had my airpods in and put my case in my pocket, but after getting off the bus i realized that they probably fell out, but i didn’t seem to feel that they fell out. After checking the FindMyIPhone i saw that someone had taken it , and before they took it i marked it as lost, but i went to the house earlier and it seemed that nobody was home but there was a kid outside riding his ATV and when i was checking the location of my airpods case the case was outside of the house?? what do I do
