False notification badges are stuck in the App Library on iPad
Ever since I updated my iPad to iOS18 there have been notification badges stuck in the overview of the App Library that don’t exist on my home screen, in the app group, or in the app itself. I also have had notification badges turned off on my iPad for almost a year at this point. I checked my settings to see if it had magically turned itself back on, but it hadn’t. I don’t know what is causing this issue, but it is bothering me that I can’t get rid of the badges because it makes me feel like I’m forgetting something every time I see it. Everything else on my iPad is working smoothly so it appears to be just a cosmetic issue, but I really want it to be fixed.
I have tried restarting my iPad four times, I’ve tried turning on and off background app refresh, and I have even tried deleting and/or reinstalling some apps. Nothing I’ve done has fixed it.
(Sorry for the crossed out games, I let my younger cousins download games on my iPad and I don’t want their games to just be seen by anyone. The games app group is the same as the other two.)
I will appreciate any and all advice you can give! Please and thank you!
