In Apple Mail there is a setting that says blocked email should go directly to trash. Unfortunately this does not work on my iMac. Even with the latest 15.1 sequoia update. This should be fixed. Fortunately I found a comment from 2023 that if you open your mail on the iPhone then the offending junk mail will go directly to trash on both the iPhone and then the iMac. Who would have guessed?

Mail on the Mac definitely has bugs and need some TLC by the people that work on it, but iOS has a much bigger audience so they put their resources into apps on that platform first.
