My wife and I would like to use EyeTV4 with our MacBook for access to various TV channels, mostly local. I bought (from Amazon) what is described as "for the Mac" but after downloading the software, the attempt to install always produces the message "suddenly closed". The OS on the MacBook is Sonoma 14.6.1. Is Eyetv4 compatible? Thanks for the help.

Dear Varjak Paw, thank you for replying and replying so quickly. Thanks to your help, I have made progress but have not solved the impasse yet. Following the instruction you sent, I was able to set my machine's app setting so that EyeTV4 has permission. But I am not able to find the second app named EyeTV Helper for installation. In the meantime, the "quit unexpectedly" message appears when I try to install.
