Time Machine is open and visible but the Time Machine Menu bar is not visible

Mac OS Sonoma 14.7

Mac Pro Tower (2019) Intel - 3.5GHz

The Time Machine icon is visible in the finder menu bar,

The Time Machine app is open and visible,

but the Time Machine menu bar is not visible while the Time Machine App is open.

The Instructions for deleting backup files in Time Machine say click the the gear Icon in the menu bar,

but the menu bar is not visible. How do I make it visible so I can click on the gear icon?

As previous posting specifically mentioned, we can not longer delete TM Backups from the destination drive - full stop.

The only way I know to delete TM Backups would to Erase the Drive

Understand that doing this will loss all the Backups for ever

To get the TM Backup icon in the Menu Bar

Back up your files with Time Machine on Mac

If the Time Machine icon isn’t in the menu bar, choose Apple menu > System Settings. Click Control Centre in the sidebar, scroll down to Time Machine , then select “Show in Menu Bar” from the pop-up menu.

You can no longer delete Time Machine backup files.
