I changed my gmail password on my laptop and now I cannot get emails on my iPhone
If I delete the current email address on my iPhone and reinstall/recreate the same one there, will I lose the emails (received prior to mid-September) that I can now see on my iPhone (i.e. but none from after the time I changed my password)?

Not if your account is a IMAP account.
