I beleive Apple should consider upgrading Facetime camera . Not every body use camera for FaceTime meetings. People like me who enjoy using camera as a recording device for YouTube content. Apple should upgrade FaceTime camera to 4K and also should give us a camera control for zoom in .

you can just connect any usb 4k webcam you feel like,
if you mean upgrade as in replacing the existing build in webcam with a better one
then I can't recall apple ever offering any such internal upgrade before
