Lyrics in subscription version but not in purchased version
This has been bothering me a long time. I see that it bothers other people too. The solutions provided here do not address the issue in the least. So I'm going to try.
I subscribe to Apple Music. Before I subscribed, I used to purchase my music from Apple, apparently before lyrics were included. Now I have thousands of songs at up to $1.29 each that are missing lyrics. However the subscription version has the lyrics. In order to get the lyrics I have to go through a bunch of really tedious steps. Thousands of dollars and hours of organization are at risk. I'm hoping someone can offer a simple solution that I haven't thought of yet.
Here's what I'm doing now:
- Delete 3,342 purchased versions from my library, songs that I paid about up to $1.29 each for
- Keep track of them all somehow, including any of my highly extensive tagging
- Manually add 3,342 subscription versions to my library
- Add back all of my tagging
- Ask myself what happens when I stop subscribing and those songs/albums/entire decades disappear from my library
- Get angry
