Changing MacOS Username

Is there any issue if I want to change my username from “yasin” to “Yasin” on macOS?

I’m considering changing my macOS username to capitalize the first letter (from “yasin” to “Yasin”). However, I’ve heard that macOS might only accept lowercase usernames for the account (short name). Is that true, or is there a way to have a capital letter in my username? Any advice or guidance would be appreciated!

Yes, the short name may contain capital letters. macOS calls this the "Full name" and it's what is displayed when you log in to your Mac.

You can change it in Users & Groups ... but I don't recommend doing that. It's too easy to mess up things when you edit anything in user advanced options ... nearly all of which you should never touch anyway.
