Notes app stuck on FOLDERS

Notes app stuck on folders

I cannot get out of folders, I have an edit button in the top right that changes to done. I search for my notes, nothing. All of my work and personal notes are gone. How can I get them back? I restarted my phone but that didn’t change anything.

Like I said "I am no computer expert"... but yes it did fix my Notes problem... I had NO Notes scattered or otherwise like you described ... I would make sure you have your phone backed up to cloud... like I said basically you remove the Notes App from your phone and when you go to the App Store and download it again it prompts you then goes to settings like when you have a new phone and are setting Notes up for the first time and then it just started downloading all my Notes (1230 of them) and everything works just as before it got stuck... If you are really uncomfortable doing this you can try calling Apple support (I have many times with problems like this in the past AND THEY ALWAYS HELPED ME FIX OR SOLVE PROBLEMS... and never tried to charge me for helping me even though I didn't have a Warranty thing with them... it's worth a try all they can do is say no they won't help you fix there Notes app that won't work which would be pretty AWFUL OF THEM if they did.... Hope I helped you solve this!

I am no computer expert... but what I did was touch and hold the "Notes" app on screen then delete... probably don't have to but I waited a little bit... then went to the APP STORE and downloaded it again to my phone that I just deleted it from... then a new start up screen came up saying from icloud then going to settings... make sure notes is toggled on then return Notes then click continue... a new folders screen appears and starts downloading all your Notes from icloud again... set the phone down and let it finish and all should be back in notes on your phone (I'm still waiting to make sure they all download)... I think it should be alright unless they disappear ... hope this helps!

Hi there,

Just wanted to find out if you had success with your solution for the Notes issue. I want to try it but I'm quite worried about losing all my Notes that I can currently see on iCloud.

Would appreciate any insight and feedback you have! (I have already updated my phone, and done the "turn off" several times with no success... it continues to open to the Folders page and only a very few scattered (and old!) notes will appear. Ugh.

Cheers!
