How to retrieve disappeared notes to the Notes app on iPhone

As a frequent/daily user of the NOTES app, today when I went to access, I found the whole app blank as if no notes existed. To say I freaked out was an understatement as I had important notes over a long period to time that I needed to access.

Tonight I found the solution for any other users experiencing the same as I was able to log into my iCloud.

Go to Settings > (your name) > iCloud, select "Show All" on Apps using iCloud, scroll down to Notes and select. Turn on Sync this device. (Mine was already showing as selected) so I depressed the sync then immediately repressed before opening the Notes app and.... all my notes started to download as they were previously
