Messages not working at all on 16 inch 2019 MacBook Pro. Using Sequoia 15.1

This has been going on for a year now ... First was closing ( Got the " Messages Quit Unexpectedly " drop down ) on certain people in my contacts ... I called AppleCare on Many occasions concerning this issue ... One very nice senior Indian lady managed to fix the problem... Then it just started to happen again and was told many things by different advisors ... one saying that would be ok with new update ... It was not and became that,' Messages' would not even open at all ... just the, " Quit Unexpectedly" drop down ... Spoke to more senior advisers and one said would have to escalate to Apple engineers .. I called back in a weeks time and was told there is nothing they could do... Among other things ????? Could anyone please advise ... Thanks
