importing .p12 certificates fails with "incorrect certificate password" message. A workaround

Hello all, I have found a (relatively) simple workaround to the .p12 certificate import problem on new MacOs and iOS versions (up to Sequoia and iOS 18).

I use S/Mime mail signing certificates issued by Actalis Certification Authority that have a 1 year validity.

After issuing new certificates from Actalis, I wasn't able to import them into my iPhone (iOS 18.1) and my MacBook (MacOS Sequoia). I was instead able to import, without any problem, these new certificates into my (old) MacPro keychain running MacOs Monterey.

So I used the MacOS Monterey keychain app to EXPORT (always as .p12) these newly imported certificates, setting a new password for them during the export operation.

These newly exported .p12 certificates can be imported without any issues on my iPhone (iOS 18.1) and my macbook pro (MacOS Sequoia).
