Siri can shuffle playlists, but not in car

Hello, I have a strange problem that's cropped up at some point recently (in the last few months, but I can't say exactly when.) It started on my iPhone 13, and has unfortunately continued onto the 16 Pro.

In my car I have a button on the steering wheel to activate Siri, and it works well. Lately though, when I ask it to shuffle a playlist, which is a common thing for me to do in the car, it says "it looks like Apple Music can't play that". I can shuffle an artist, and play albums and everything, but I can't do anything with a playlist.

The strange part of this is that I *can* do these things through Siri when I'm speaking through the phone (that is, not driving). The moment I turn off the car, the problem goes away. It is the only such difference I've ever encountered. Other Carplay functions seem just fine. Any insights into this problem would be appreciated!
