where did my passwords go

usually go to settings and then I scroll down the passwords and then I can click that push the plus button and add a new password it’ll it’ll add the password. I just gotta put my sign in name and the name of the website or the app and increase password for me now my password isn’t even there. It’s telling me to go to the password app which I did, which is stupid but then I go to create a new password for a app. I’m trying to download and it won’t even put a password in there for me what’s the point and where the **** are my passwords?

Your passwords are in the password app. To add a new password for a site or an app go to the site or app and log in using your user ID and password. If the site or app is not in Passwords already it will ask you if you want to add them. When entering a new password it will ask of you want a system-generated password; if you don’t just enter the password that you want to use.

Why would they make a whole app and move my private stuff. Seems like it's switching hands or more people involved now and more chance my secrets not being so secret. And I clicked in the password box and it just pulled up my keyboard. I was so mad that my passwords were not where I knew them to be. I still didn't get done what I was trying to do and it's probably cost me $50 and my niece $150. Since they days about to change and it's still not done. rant over. Thanks for your help tho. 🙂

They didn’t move anything. They just changed the way to access the existing password database from Settings to a separate app. Your passwords didn’t move, only the user interface changed. And also improved; the new password interface is much more intuitive and easier to use. You need to log in to the Password app, just like you had to log in when you tapped Passwords in the Settings app. If you have Face ID enabled for apps you don’t need to use your passcode to log in.

And I can’t see how that cost you any money at all. This was all explained in the update notes and the updated iPhone manual.
