Notes app won’t ask for Touch ID anymore

Hi, I have one locked note that I normally open with Touch ID, because I forgot the password. Now the app will not ask for Touch ID, but wants a code. How can I open this note with Touch ID again? I already turned my phone off, normally this helps, but not anymore. I hope someone can help me! This note contains so many of my kids passwords for government agency’s etc… 🥲

The only way to open that note is with the password that was used to lock it. The first time you locked a note, your iPhone gave you the option to open it with Touch ID or Face ID. At that time, you were informed that those options do not replace the password, and that you will periodically be required to enter the password to open the note.

Particularly this part:

To unlock a note, you need to enter the password that it's locked with. If you forgot your notes password, Apple can't help you regain access to your locked notes. You can create a new notes password or use your device passcode instead, but this won’t give you access to your old notes. If you set a new notes password or switch to your device passcode, you can protect any notes that you create going forward with the new password.
