Safari doesn't work well with many websites

MacBook Pro (Intel i9) Sequoia

Safari generally doesn't work very well with many of the websites I frequent, and it seems to be getting worse. Microsoft Edge/Google Chrome work just fine with these problem websites. Generally, Safari on my old iPad Pro works fine with the same problematic websites -- but I have not tested that many.

tractorhouse.com, Facebook.com, usaa.com, and lots of others. So many that I've changed the default to Edge, but I miss the password integration and autofill of texted authentication codes.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS

I don’t have any problem with usaa.com, I would never go near Facebook, and I’m not sure what to look for on tractorhouse.com.

this Apple support community website doesn’t work well at all for me on Safari. I think that’s because of all the JavaScript garbage.

If you’re running into problems with sites that are just littered with JavaScript widgets, that may be the issue.

Feedback - Safari - Apple.
