Apple TV sound not playing on Amazon Fire TV

I have seen multiple articles with this issue and no resolution. Problem: Sound was working fine on all other apps but Apple TV. The Apple TV+ app installed with prime works fine too.

Solution: After multiple trials and errors I was able to find the solution. Under TV settings go to - Displays and sounds - go to audio output - go to digital audio format -change digital audio format to PCM.

The app should work fine now.
