'Passwords is locked' popup keeps randomly showing on screen after upgrade.

This keeps coming up on my screen. It only started after the latest upgrade. I have tried to follow the instructions, but it just takes me to the Passwords 'home page' (Sorry, I am VERY untechy!) so, unsure what 'it' wants me to do!

There's no problems with access to anything, so the password prompt is not needed.

I can click away from the popup and it will disappear, but it keeps coming back. Is this just a glitch or a problem?

Thanks so much for any help!

Yes, the image is the " Home Page " as you call it for the New Apple Password Application

By Default the application is locked

It is when you use the Touch ID function ( If it were setup earlier ) to place your Registered Fingerprint on the Touch ID Sensor ( Power Button )

It will auto fill the Password and UnLock it

Use Touch ID on Mac

If you have Not Setup Touch ID - you will have to manually type in your Computer Password to unlock it

Follow on 😎

Image from the Password application " Home Page" on this computer

This machine does not have Touch ID sensor built into the computers

So, I am obliged to manually type in the Computer password

Note, I have redacted by User Name from the image as were are not permitted to reveal personal information

It does occur, sometimes, where we do forget to do this and then get a " Yellow Card " email
