Scam or spam or phishing emails

For about the past 4 to 6 weeks I’ve been getting several scam emails per day. Now today more of them from different names. I block all of them. I’ve been sending them to the Apple site and nothing ever gets done. Does apple stop the scam emails or not? Because why am I reporting them? I am about at the point where I want to get rid of my Apple product. I guard my information and obviously keep it secret. I did receive a letter from change healthcare regarding their breach, but I don’t know if that’s connected. But I have had it with Apple wanting me to report these emails, which are still coming and Apple never answers.

Of course your email address is in the hands of scammers. That is a common occurrence in today's world. The scammers constantly change the sending address, so if you block one, then you will just receive another that appears to come from someone else. Blocking has very little effect when dealing with scammers that constantly change the address where the email comes from.

It is no different the spam phone numbers you will get. You can block one and they just spoof the sending number so the next one will go through. You can get rid of your Apple products and use a device from a completely different manufacturer and the result will be the same. Apple does offer a Hide My Email service with any iCloud subscription where you can easily manage different email addresses for each company. In the case of your Healthcare provider that got breached, you would simply change that HideMyEmail address and the scammers would not be able to send any emails to the address that was breached.

Well, thank you for your answer that helps some. I’m not going to subscribe to an iCloud subscription, though. It is all about greed and I will not give up money to them. i’ve read the filters don’t always work anyway.

Yep filters don't always work. To be clear Hide My Email is not a filter. You choose an email address like xyz@icloud.com and would use that one for your healthcare provider, then if that company gets breached you simply shut off that email address and create a new one to use with the healthcare provider. This eliminates any spam emails that would be sent to that address that was breached. It is true you would need to have an iCloud subscription for 99 cents a month and would be more beneficial if you needed that extra storage for data like photos or device backups to prevent data loss.

The alternative is to create another email address through your internet provider, but in most cases they limit how many addresses you can create. It would work the same way, just a little more difficult to manage.
