Final Cut file size (.fcpbundle)

Hello.

I'm a video podcast creator and I'm running into a problem in the form of the size of a single project file (.fcpbundle). Back in August I had a 512GB SSD and a 60 minute long video podcast in 4K was able to take up the entire disk before rendering. I mean the original Final Cut .fcpbundle file. I have now upgraded to 1TB and the problem persists. I'm editing an identical video and the .fcpbundle file is now over 800GB. How is this possible and is there any way to limit this size please?
