Re: "Cannot load photos from iPhone or SD card to MacOS Sequoia photos"
A recent article from Apple Support (16 September 2024)
Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC - Apple Support
Gives the steps to follow:
Eg: Step 4 says: "The Photos app shows an Import screen with all the photos and videos that are on your connected device. If the Import screen doesn't automatically appear, click the device's name in the Photos sidebar".
If you still have issues:
Seems your iPhone does not yet have the newest iOS version installed.
You can check in Settings > General > Software updates
or see: About iOS 18 Updates - Apple Support
Eg: says iOS 18.1 is now the newest. (This update introduces the first set of features powered by Apple Intelligence.)
NB: If you choose to update: it is always wise to back up your data before updating.
Else : You may want to try restarting your iPhone (ie: deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update recent setting changes, and often restores order if something is not working as expected.)
